Simen Johan is a Norwegian-Swedish contemporary artist, photographer, and sculptor living in New York City. He creates magical and surreal images with animals. The pictures look like they belong to a different dimension. Some images look pretty normal, but still manage to cause a feeling of eeriness, like something’s off. It’s hard to differentiate what is real and what’s an edit.
Simen uses different pictures to create a collage. He places animals in unexpected environments. Some images are so detailed, you don’t notice everything the first time you see them.
