We collect Funko Pops in my house. Funko Pops are figurines produced by the company Funko and are based on all types of characters ranging from Disney to Marvel to real life personalities.
Several years ago I started using Funko Pops as a starting point for an art project in my classroom (I am an art teacher). The kids loved making their own Pop creations and even making self portrait Pops.
While Funko covers almost everything, they haven’t done everything yet. There are numerous Pops my family and I would love to see so I decided to start making concept drawings of Pops we would love to see become a reality. I’ve even created my own Pops that are simply my own creation and design.
The whole process is done on my iPad using Procreate. I draw everything in the app and export the time-lapse from there. I then build the video in a movie editing app called Lumafusion. I post the time-lapse drawings of each one to YouTube in a Pop wishlist and have over 25 videos to date (https://bit.ly/3ugYSKT).
