During lockdown in Italy, JR reminds us of the importance of access to cultural institutions in his own way.
Called La Ferita (“the wound” in Italian), the artwork creates the optical illusion of a large gash on the exterior walls of the building. Inside, one can contemplate from the outside a black and white vision of the interior of the closed building. The stunning collage allows to highlight the heritage of this city despite the successive closures.
